The Padjadjaran University Entrance Selection (SMUP) has the mission of holding the entrance selection to "Make Padjadjaran University (Unpad) a University with a World Reputation and Impact on Society". To realize the above, it is necessary to improve the quality of students accepted at Unpad, organize innovative education that is able to produce graduates who are confident, have a high commitment to work, prioritize quality culture, maintain and develop sustainable environmental governance and noble values ​​that live in public.

For this reason, by taking into account various existing regulations and in an effort to improve the quality of new students accepted at Unpad, the establishment of the SMUP Office as the only implementing unit for admission to Unpad upholds quality, professional, credible and accountable implementation principles.

The scheme uses SNBT scores for Unpad entrance selection without taking the Unpad/SMUP independent exam.

Postgraduate SMUP consists of several programs and entry points, namely:

The regular Postgraduate Program consists of a Masters Program (S2) and a Doctoral Program (S3). The regular Masters program consists of two types, namely Masters by Course and Masters by Research. As for the Doctoral Program, it is only offered in the form of Doctor by Research.
Professional Program. The Faculty of Law, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Psychology are among the faculties that have opened this Professional Program.
Most of the Specialist and Sub-specialist Programs are in the Faculty of Medicine.
