How to play:
A single round of Klaverjassen consists of 4 stages:
▪ Trading
▪ Melding
▪ Trickery
▪ Score

▪ Trading
At the beginning of each round, each player is dealt 8 cards. The dealer must choose the trump card.

▪ Melding
All players have the opportunity to earn combination points in the game. Combinations are divided into two categories. Multiple cards can belong to multiple combinations of different categories, and players can choose whether to accept them or not.

▪ Trickery
The player leading the trick can play any card they want, but other players must follow these rules:
▪ In Rotterdam rules, when a player cannot follow up with a move, they are obligated to play a trump card if possible. If they have a trump card that is worth more than all other played cards currently on the table, they must play that card.
▪ Under Amsterdam rules, this last requirement is not required when their teammate currently holds the highest value card on the table. But if they can't follow suit but have an ace available, they still have to trump.
▪ If you can neither follow suit nor play a trump card, you can play any card you want.

▪ Score
Try to collect more than half of the points with your partner. If you are unsuccessful, you will get "wet" and lose all your points to your opponent. However, if you manage to get all the points, you will receive an additional 100 points. There’s more to come!
