KesariNandana SandeshaVaahaka Description
With the blessings of Shree Brahmachaitanya Maharaj, Shree Brahmananda Maharaj, Shree Dattavadhoota Guruji and Shree Hanuman, I have been able to publish my first app on Google Play Store - Kesari Nandana Sandesha Vaahaka.
Firstly, some context about the name of the app:
"Kesari Nandana" is one of the many names of Lord Hanuman which suggests that He is the son of Kesari. "Sandesha Vaahaka" in Sanskrit literally translates to "Message Sender". Lord Hanuman is known for his extraordinary work as a messenger of Lord Rama. He jumps across the ocean in search of Goddess Sita and conveys the message that Lord Ram will soon come to rescue her. The app "Kesari Nandana Sandesha Vaahaka" also acts as a sender of messages to a list of phone numbers through WhatsApp. More importantly, writing this app would not have been possible without the blessings of Kesari Nandana. He is the reason why this app exists. Hence the name :)
I would like to thank my wife Rashmi, for suggesting this name, and to my Guru Shree Dattavadhoota Guruji for approving this name.
Summary of the app’s functionality:
Kesari Nandana Sandesha Vaahaka helps send WhatsApp messages to a list of mobile numbers stored in a column in an excel sheet(.xlsx file). The app takes the following inputs: the excel file, the column in the excel sheet containing the mobile numbers, the default country code prefix for the mobile numbers in the excel sheet that are not stored with a country code prefix, and finally the message that needs to be sent to every mobile number in the list, and then starts sending the messages one by one.
It does this through a floating window with "Next" and "Abort" buttons to help the user navigate through sending the message to the list of phone numbers or stop the process abruptly at any point in the session for some reason.
What is the need to send messages to a list of phone numbers when a message can be sent to a WhatsApp group?
You might be wondering about this right? Well. A couple of reasons:
Firstly, even if all the members in your list belong to an already existing WhatsApp group, people don't monitor every message in WhatsApp groups diligently and may end up missing your important message. Hence sending a personal message would increase the likelihood of getting attention.
Secondly, there could be some business scenarios where records of customers or partners or some other stakeholders might be kept in a database or an excel sheet, and there might be a need to communicate a common message to people corresponding to all the records. In this case, adding the phone numbers in all those records to a WhatsApp group doesn't make sense. In such cases, if the data is in some database, you could just export all the records to an excel sheet, and use "Kesari Nandana Sandesha Vaahaka" to send WhatsApp messages to all members in that sheet.
