In Gaia Project, each player controls one of 14 factions striving to peacefully colonize the Terra Mystica galaxy. Each faction has different environmental needs to survive on a planet. These needs have led the factions to master terraforming, enabling them to make different planet types habitable for themselves.

This is the official digital version of the board game Gaia Project by Feuerland Verlag.

The game implementation is very good. The user interface on a cellphone leaves a lot to be desired Update: it is only possible to zoom into the map. Player info on the left, player mats do not zoom. And it makes it hard to see stuff like next turn income. Opponents research. It will also be very helpful to see the expected gains from upgrades/mines. You see the costs and need to reference the player board to figure what you will gain

Takes some getting used to with all of the information on screen, but this has been a good implementation of a complex game. I really appreciate the addition of the planning mode, where you can brainstorm your next move and save it for optionally using it later. It's a little slow to load and sync games, and it generally requires manually refreshing, but it's not a big deal. The game is somewhat intensive, leading to heating up and battery drain in long sessions, but it's better with HD off.

Very good rendition of the game. Tutorials on game play abound, but a tutorial on settings would be helpful, still trying to figure out how to get back to round goals from the overview map it switches to when I mistakenly tap the goal in the hopes of a pop-up explanation of iconography. It's a big disadvantage not knowing the round goals and overall goals. I'll eventually figure it out.
