I still hate the "casino action" endings to each level, although they are either less obnoxious than they were when it was first added, or I got used to it, as I find that I'm playing the game more these days than when the changes were initially brought out. So if it was toned down after my review last summer... then thanks. But still, winning a level is littered with coins, chests, and casino sounds, for absolutely no obvious benefit within the gameplay. I really wish all of this was optional. And these "rewards" have still negatively influenced my rating--if the game was just a simple racing game which worked perfectly, I would rate it 5 stars. It's pretty much the only game I play. But the worst bug in the game is not being able to replay when you do a particularly good job of winning a level. Sometimes this works, and it's fun to watch yourself in the playback. But sometimes it doesn't. And the new "casino action" level endings that I'm complaining about make it about 1/10th as likely that you'll be able to watch the replay of how you beat the level. When these casino endings aren't present, I can watch the replay only about 1/2 the time--frustratingly inconsistent, but still I sometimes get to see the replay. On the other hand, when I'm forced to "open up a chest" or something else I'd rather never see, afterwards, the replay almost never works. Instead the screen nearly always freezes with the animation of the actions only halfway finished.

What happened to this game? I bought this again for old nostalgia sake, but it changed for the worst. The physics are messed up now so a lot of old community levels just don't work. The coins and xp is neat, but the chests are just so annoying, they have too long of animations and barely give you anything, it's just better to x the window out and accept nothing. They also removed the ability to change vehicle in game, why? That was the best feature and it's gone. The game is no longer that good.
