Sorry to tank this review, but whoever decided to design the on screen d-pads as black translucent on a black background should be ashamed. Why isn't it contrasted with adjustable oppacity (and colour)? I thought that was standard on mobile games nowadays. Don't get me wrong, this game is amazing, but the controls are a deal breaker. Sure with a controller connected, it's awesome, but I bought this to play on the go, without any extra equipment. Otherwise I would play it on a switch or at home.

I really enjoy playing this on my pc, then I found out you can also get it for your phone. This is absolutely one of the best games you could get for your phone!! It's very fun, challenging, there is a lot to be learned, you have to think fast, and it's great for passing whichever amount of time you wanna pass, whether it's just a speedy 5 minutes on the toilet or an entire hour on the train. My only grudge with this port is that the pause button is guaranteed to make you lose your multiplier.

I love Crypt of the Necrodancer and this a great alternative to have on the go! Great soundtrack, fun and unique gameplay and it's simple to learn, but hard to master. Controls are a bit funky in this version, no matter which control setting you choose. I believe this is more of an issue related to not having any tactile buttons on mobile though, not a fault of the game. This version had a good few game-breaking bugs at launch too, but they have since been fixed!
