The Royal Army Club (in French: Association Sportive des Forces Armées Royales, meaning the Royal Armed Forces Sports Association), known simply as the Royal Army (in French: ASFAR), is a multi-branch Moroccan professional sports club, founded a few years after Morocco's independence and exactly the day (Monday 16 Safar 1378 AH / September 1, 1958) in Rabat, and its headquarters are in the sports center of the Royal Army Club in the Mamoura Forest in the city of Sale. From 53,000 spectators, it participates in the Moroccan Premier League and has not been relegated to the second division since its promotion in the 1959-60 season.
It is currently considered the most crowned club in Morocco since the founding of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, with 32 official titles, including 30 local titles, including 13 Moroccan leagues, 12 Throne Cups (a record), 4 Moroccan Super Cups (a record), two continental titles, and managed Reaching the finals of all competitions in which he participated. On the continental level, it was the first Moroccan team to achieve a continental title in 1985 by winning the African Champions League, and the first Arab team to win the African Confederation Cup title in its new version in 2005.
The Royal Army is considered the most Moroccan club to achieve titles in the twentieth century, and it ranked 18th in each of the CAF rankings for clubs of the twentieth century (15 points), and the ranking of the International Federation for History and Statistics (53 points), and in the current century it was ranked first locally and tenth in continental year 2011, in the classification of the international ranking of clubs during the first decade of the 21st century (2001-2010), issued by the International Federation of History and Statistics.
The military team is one of the oldest Arab and African teams and enjoys a special public support. With its successes, it has formed a large fan base and reputation on the continent and internationally. It is one of the three great football poles in Morocco, along with its historical rivals Wydad and Al-Raja. Sports competitions in Moroccan football and the most famous, as it brings together the three most popular and title-winning clubs.

The Royal Army football team was founded on September 1, 1958, at the initiative of then Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, Supreme Commander of the Moroccan Army, who was a fan of football, and who aspired to create an elite Moroccan team that would be a military team and a base for the Moroccan national team, especially after the great humility shown by this player. The latter since the dawn of independence, so work began before the start of the 1958 World Cup competitions to prepare a team that includes the best military personnel, by searching for talented players who are practicing or who have previously played football in a club.
