As an advid backgammon player, this app is very good for beginners. However, it cheats. When it's opponents is on the bar, the dice rolls do not allow you to get off until after up to six moves to give them the upper hand. Also, when pairing off the dice rolls in favor of the computer by giving more large doubles and better moves.

Cheating POS app by a developer too lazy to program strategy into the game. It's laughable to call this AI when it's nothing more than standard fare programmed cheating with zero intelligence. You will always, and I mean ALWAYS roll doubles on the covered spots when your piece is taken. Your odds of getting into a free space are 1 in 7. Your opponent's odds are 12 in 13. And what's with always getting doubles on the last roll, or when it ruins your setup. That's so the accounting works.

I know my hybrid opponent has completely HACKED my games. Not just luck. Prior everything seemed fine, then all of a sudden everytime I play this game now in the middle of the game I get a message with a clock symbol saying "backgammon isn't responding" two options appear " close app, or wait. I hit the wait every round and continue playing and you wouldn't believe the dice the opponent gets. I've been playing this game for forty five years. I know my opponent hacked the game.
