All jurists agreed on the desirability and virtue of fasting on the day of Arafah, and none of them said otherwise, and its fasting is better than fasting on other days with the exception of the obligatory fasting of Ramadan, and its fasting has a great merit that results from it. It necessitates the forgiveness of God - the Almighty - for the servant, as it is desirable on this day to multiply good deeds; Such as keenness to perform supererogatory prayers, a lot of remembrance of God Almighty, and charity for the sake of God Almighty, for good deeds on this day have great merit.
