If the traveler intends to combine prayers, he may combine the noon and afternoon prayers together, and the sunset and dinner together; So he prays the noon with the afternoon at the time of noon, and this is called (plural of offering), or he prays the noon and afternoon at the time of the afternoon, and this is called (the combination of delay), and also if he wants to combine the Maghrib and dinner prayers, then either he should advance; So he prays Maghrib and Isha at the time of Maghrib, or he delays and prays them at the time of Isha, taking into account the order in all the aforementioned cases; That is, he prays noon before afternoon, and sunset before dinner, and it is not permissible to combine the evening and dawn prayers, nor between the dawn and noon prayers, nor the afternoon and sunset prayers together.
As for shortening the prayer while traveling, it is for him to pray the noon prayer with two rak’ahs instead of four, as well as the afternoon and evening prayers, and it is not permissible for him to shorten both the Maghrib and Fajr prayers. As he has to pray Maghrib three, and Fajr two.
