Rank SS - Best Heroes
SS-Rank heroes are the strongest and most versatile characters in Twilight Chronicle: Idle RPG. They are excellent choices for fulfilling roles as the Main / Sub DPS, key Support, or a Frontline Warrior.
Ling

Ling is an outstanding Nuker as well as an easy-to-get card in early game. Without doubt, she is top-tier Mage in Twilight Chronicle who excels at dealing Crit damage. To be important, Ling deals 300% AoE Crit damage to all enemies, making her an unparalleled backline damage dealer. However, the only problem lies in her long skill cooldown and low maximum HP. So, you should pay attention to her positioning and need to ensure that she can survive and consistently deal damage. With high-quality tank and healer, Ling will be able to channel explosive damage.
Wu Kong

Wu Kong highlights late-game combats, since he sustainedly stacks Crit rate and Crit damage buffs. As turns go, Wu Kong has an ability that deals devastating area damage and gives pressure to enemies. He becomes unbeatable in late game, belonging to typically scaling character suitable for sustained combat compositions. He performs well against high-HP Bosses in Abyss or PVE.
Luna

Luna's magical Area-of-Effect attacks are difficult to evade and are not easily completely negated by shields, making her one of the most stable AoE mages in the current version. Her high damage output is devastating against squishy lineups. If the enemy team lacks high-HP characters, a single skill can often leave the entire opposing team half-health or even result in a team wipeout.
Raphael

Raphael is currently one of the strongest healers, perfect for an AoE healing skill. During the recovery period, she provides an extra, targeted heal to teammates with low health, while also granting an additional damage-boosting buff to all members of the lineup. She is a Support character specialized in both buffing and sustainability.
Azmodan

Azmodan features attack-based Lifesteal capability. Each time he uses an active skill, he gains a bonus to damage reduction and critical hit rate. Furthermore, due to his passive skill, Azmodan's Lifesteal from Crits allows him to survive on the field without needing a healer. He is an exceptionally powerful frontline character, while also possessing sufficient damage output.
Sariel

Sariel performs top-notch frontline defender in current version. She possesses an unique mechanism capable of applying Invulnerable shield to protect all allies, extremely improving their margin for error. Thanks to the elevation of overall survivability provided by Sariel's ability, you can easily cope with any formidable teams whether they are burst compositions or sustained pressure lineups. Furthermore, she is highly compatible with any playstyles, allowing you to put this super tank in any teams.
Rank S - Powerful
S-rank heroes are powerful enough. They can be the core of the team with extraordinary mechanics and base stats. However, they are usually slightly dependent on team composition, skill levels, or equipment support.
Rose

Rose is Damage Dealer with excellent crowd-control ability, possessing permanently scaling growth potential. Her skill set not only deals considerable damage to enemies but also can disrupt and weaken opponents through various control effects such as Slow and Seal, creating favorable combat conditions for her teammates. Actually, she is the core of Demonhunter team. You can find more powerful lineups in our Twilight Chronicle: Idle RPG BestTeam Comps Guide.
Michael

Michael is a DPS and support hybrid. She can dispel 4 buffs from a single enemy target, so allies can concentrate on the target and instantly kill him. More importantly, Michae deals destructive AoE True damage to all enemies that cannot be dodged, the enemies have no choice but to take the damage. If they run without a mighty healer or tank, they will be easily eliminated with no chance to retaliate. However, Michael's skills have long cooldown.
Lucifer

Compared to other AoE magic damage dealer, Lucifer leans toward playing as an attrition specialist. She is used to wear down the health of the enemies, rather than delivering instant burst damage. Therefore, she serves as sub DPS and demands high-quality lineups to max out her powers.
Elegy

Elegy, as the nightmare of squishy backline characters, focues on ST burst damage. Nevertheless, Elegy is difficult to be effectively exploited, especially when meeting compositions featuring multi-support. His ability is one-dimensional, leaving it with no viable niche. Don't worry. You can use him in PVE like boss raid. Besides, you can also use him in PVP if there are many teams featuring pure damage output.
Ying Gou

Ying Gou has normal skills, though, she synergizes with Ling to unleash devastating damage. This synergy makes Ying Gou top-tier debuffer. She can inflict debuff on the targets to reduce HP. Once Ying Gou's awaken skill reaches level 2, she can deliver a buff to the highest-HP teammate who will deal extra True damage. Beware, if you have got Ying Gou, you require 1 copy to upgrade skills to team up with your main DPS like Ling.
Alucard

Alucard is the main DPS of the Kindred team, specializing in dealing sustained damage based on the Bleed debuff. The more Bleed he accumulates, the higher his critical hit rate and damage become, making him a hero suitable for prolonged engagements. Furthermore, he excels at executing enemies with the lowest Defense.
Rank A - Alternative
A-Rank heroes usually can be replaced by stronger characters, because they are functional heroes or special heroes with lower base stats. Their values lie in their ability to strengthen the team specific situation, but cannot totally bolster the whole lineup.
Dark Tide

Despite being a Guardian, Dark Tide possesses powerful damage output, making her an essential unit for some pure damage compositions. However, using Dark Tide's skills requires paying the price. The reason why she can deal high damage is it cost her own health to unleash power. That means Dark Tide relies on the lineup's healer.
Tinplate

Tinplate is a Guardian has nice skills that he automatically taunts the enemy with highest ATK and shares the damage taken from highest ATK and lowest DEF teammate. Due to lack of self healing and shield, Tinplate is easy to be defeated when facing AoE DPS. Paired with strong healer like Raphael, he can effectively protect allies.
Isabella

Isabella revovles around the Bleed status effect. She stably provides 2 stacks of Bleed to core damage dealer like Alucard for each turn. She is versatile in Kindred team, enabling main DPS to quickly lower the enemy's HP threshold. To unleash her full potential, Isabella should team up with Alucard.
Ramesses

Ramesses possesses a Taunt skill and a passive resurrection ability, while his Ultimate skill has a chance to apply the Infection debuff to all enemies. She offers normal support utility and can be useful in certain stage. Her overall performance leans toward that of a utility unit, giving him a low investment priority.
Enchantress

Enchantress is a particular damage dealer according to her specialty. Each time she releases skills to deal damage will restore other members' HP. However, in fact, Enchantress's skill base stats are too low to deal enough damage output, and her healing is inadequate. When deployed in an advantageous combat, she could be very useful.
