Completing tasks are quite crucial as they will unlock further progression systems for players depending on their leveling and tasks will help mark a players’ progress when playing the game, unlocking special level appropriate raids and battles as players complete the tasks.

Tasks will also reward players with a large amount of EXPs when players complete specific tasks in addition to special rewards, allowing players to progress through the game naturally and help aid in the leveling up process to unlock brand new tasks.

Monster Hunting For EXPs

While Tasks will provide players with a large amount of EXPs to help aid players in the leveling up process and unlock special mechanics to help players progress further in the game, most of the time, the amount of EXPs granted from tasks might not be enough for players to level up to the appropriate level to accept high level tasks to progress further in the game.

The system is made this way so that aside from mindlessly completing tasks to advance in the game, players will need to take their time off the tasks in order to grind and fighty against hoards of monsters in the Monster Hunting grounds for more EXPs.

Monsters are littered across the world map and form specific monster hunting areas that players can go to and farm the monsters to obtain EXPs and special items unique to each monster type. This process will help players gather enough resources and EXPs in order to make stronger equipment and level up enough to take on higher level and more dangerous tasks.

Keep in mind that while the majority of an area’s monster level is scaled according to the players' level to allow players to farm peacefully, specific areas on the map contain extremely high level monsters, making it extremely dangerous for players to farm. If you manage to defeat these high level enemies, you will obtain more EXPs than the average monsters, but it is not recommended to try and fight against monsters that are higher in level than you.

EXP Potions & Merchants

Another way for players to level up quickly in MU: Dark Epoch is through the use of EXP potions and special EXP gain enhanced potions.

While playing and fighting against monsters, players might be able to obtain special EXP potion drops from enemies at a low rate. These potions serve directly as EXPs for players that they can drink in order to immediately obtain a set amount of EXPs per potions.

Each EXP potion has different rarities, with higher rarity EXP potions providing the players with a higher amount of EXPs per bottle, making them a very good way for players to level up extremely quickly if players can obtain large amounts of potions as quickly as possible.

Another type of potion is the EXP gain increase potions, which, unlike the EXP potions which straight up gives the characters EXP, will instead enhance the amount of EXPs players gain from completing tasks and defeating monsters. 

Both types of potions can be dropped from specific monster raids, special events, in-game merchants and more, with the higher grade EXP potions only being available from special spending events in game.

Finally, a thing that players need to pay attention to in order to level up as quickly as possible in MU: Dark Epoch are the special EXP buffs that they can activate in order to obtain as much EXPs as possible in a short amount of time.

Available during specific timeframes or after using special items, special EXP buffs can provide players with huge advantages by stacking as much EXPs buffs as possible, allowing players to obtain up to Triple the amount of EXPs from grinding Monsters

Some of the notable EXP buffs that players should pay attention to are:

- Hourglasses: Hourglasses can be obtained from Garnet Shop and can provide double the EXP gain from monster hunting.

- Benediction: Can increase the amount of EXP gain from fighting monsters by 25% or 30% depending on the level players activate them at.

- EXP Potions: Increase the EXP gain by 2.5 times the usual amount, allowing players to gain EXP extremely quickly.

- Saturday EXP Buff: Available on Saturdays, the EXP buff will increase the amount of EXP gain from farming monsters by 1.5 times the usual amount.

Stack As Many EXP Buffs As Possible At Once

As mentioned, special EXP buffs in the game allow players to increase the amount of EXP gain massively, up to 5 times the amount of usual EXP gain from farming monsters when stacked properly. Therefore, it is quite crucial for players to save the resources and stack the special EXP buffs in order to be able to grind EXP in a short amount of time.

It is highly recommended that players save their hourglasses and EXP potions in order to do a big farming session on Saturdays to take full advantage of the EXP buffs from these items and the Saturday EXP buff.

Complete Tasks As Soon As Possible

As mentioned, Tasks serve as a very good way for players to obtain EXPs to level up quickly and obtain special rewards when progressing in the game. Crucially, however, tasks also limit the different monster spots and features that players can take advantage of in order to level up quickly. Therefore, completing tasks as quickly as possible to unlock higher level monster hunting grounds is quite crucial if you want to progress quickly  to the main game.

Level Up With Your Friends Or Other Accounts

Another way players can consider to help level up your character quickly is employ the help of other players when fighting against monsters. High level characters can carry players though different difficult fights, which grants a higher amount of EXPs depending on the level of the enemies. 

So players can team up with other high level players to carry them through difficulty raids in order to obtain more EXPs from fighting higher level monsters. Alternatively, players can also play with multiple different accounts with the LDPlayer Multi-Instance function to help boost the power of a single account if they have multiple high level accounts set up.
