What is Cookie Run: Kingdom Boss Rush Season 2?

Boss Rush Season 2 is your new limited-time event featured from the Garden of Sweet Delights update, and it is going to be there in the game until June 3, 2025. The new season mode will bring players more challenges to battle a series of powerful bosses using teams of up to seven Cookies from the Cookie Run: Kingdom tier list. This event shows similarities to the Guild Battles, where bosses retain their depleted HP across attempts so you can destroy their health over multiple tries.

Key Features

The key features included with this new event are:

• Stages: 15 stages will be there in Season 2-1, each featuring a unique boss with specific mechanics, weaknesses, and Synergy Effects.
• Tickets: You can receive 6 Boss Rush Tickets daily, with the option to gain three additional tickets by watching ads or spending 300 Crystals (once per day). Tickets are consumed per battle attempt.
• Suppression Level: A progression system that enhances team stats using Suppression Spears can be obtained from Battle Supply Chests.
• Synergy Effects: Buffs activated by specific team compositions in the event are crucial for maximizing damage and survivability.
• Rewards: rewards include Stage Rewards for first clears, and there are Ranking Rewards based on leaderboard position as well as shop items purchasable with Challenge Coins.

Cookie Run: Kingdom Boss Rush Season 2 Event Mechanics

The whole event will follow a set of rules and mechanisms, so as a Cookie Run: Kingdom beginner, learning and knowing them will prevent you from trouble. So, let’s start step by step.  

Accessing Boss Rush

You can unlock this mode after making enough progress in the game, usually once you finish the early parts of World Exploration. To find it, go to the event tab on the main menu and look for Boss Rush. The event runs until June 3, 2025. Once the event ends, there will be a short period for final results, and you won’t be able to fight during that time.

Battle Rules

There are several rules to follow here as well.

• Team Composition: Up to 7 Cookies per team, with no restrictions on Battle Points (unlike Boss Hunt).
• Auto-Leveling: All Cookies are set to Level 90, with skills at Level 90 and Beascuits at Level 20 (if below).
• Disabled Features: Landmarks, Guild Levels, Guild Relics, Bonds, Sugar Gnome Laboratory, Costume Sets, Treasures, and the Statue of Heroic Radiance have no effect, making Cookie levels, toppings, and Synergies the primary factors.
• Boss HP: Bosses retain depleted HP across attempts, allowing multiple tries to defeat them.
• Time Limit: Battles are timed (approximately 40 seconds per stage), requiring efficient damage output.
• Practice Mode: Allows unlimited testing of team compositions without consuming tickets, ideal for refining strategies.

Suppression Level

The main goal here is to make your team stronger by using Suppression Spears to unlock extra stats. In Season 2-1, the highest level you can reach is 30, but this limit goes up in Season 2-2. At Level 25, you get a 5% cooldown reduction, and at Level 51 in Season 2-2, you gain 5% damage resistance and 10% more critical damage.

You get Suppression Spears from Battle Supply Chests, which gather rewards over time in the Boss Rush lobby. Everyone gets the same rewards from these chests, no matter when they decide to open them. It’s a good idea to focus on leveling up your Suppression early since it gives a big boost to your damage and helps you stay alive longer, which really helps in the tougher parts of the event.

Synergy Effects

Some stages reward you for building your team with specific roles or element types by triggering powerful buffs known as Synergy Effects. These are tied to your squad’s composition, such as having a certain number of Bombers, Support units, or elemental attackers.

You can find synergy details using the “Synergy Ideas” button when editing your squad. Occasionally, stages contain hidden synergies too, and these aren’t shown directly, but hints may appear in boss descriptions or event notes.

 

For example, the Shadow of Venom synergy requires a precise team: 1 Healing, 1 Ambush, 1 Magic, 2 Bomber, 1 Ranged, and 1 Charge. When active, it summons a Prune Jelly Familiar that deals Poison-type damage. Sea Fairy Cookie is a great Bomber choice here. Waves of Depth enhances Sea Fairy Cookie’s Crystal Jam effect, triggering every 10 seconds and hitting enemies with Water damage. In Darkness Overlord, a setup with 2 Ranged, 2 Bomber, 1 Support, 1 Charge, and 1 Defense activates Dark Cacao’s Rally Effect and calls in Licorice Servants for Darkness-type damage and Black Sapphire Cookie fits well as your Support pick.

Some of the strongest boosts come from hidden synergies, so trying out different team mixes or checking tips from other players online can really pay off. Overall, it’s not just about raw stats, activating the right synergy effects can give your team a serious edge in battle.

Boss Mechanics
