Actually mostly fixed now, only took about 4 months but so far downloads and watch later works again, doesn't crash as much if the screen auto turns off, and the full screen button is back. The closed captions being on by default for me is a little annoying at times and I'd rather not have 2/3 of the video faded out of I interact but overall far better than what it was for the past several months thanks.
There is a BUG that causes the "Autoplay" Setting to turn ON immediately AFTER I turn it OFF. I never use that Setting in ANY APPLICATIONS because I am a "Control Freak". I have to be in control of EVERYTHING. The inability to prevent autonomy is making me want to kill myself. Someone PLEASE fix this BUG before I actually give in. This is not worth the stress. Please and Thank You~! U^ェ^U
The app has been broken since August - an update drops 6 months later and only fixes playback in "Watch Later" and partially fixes PiP/background play. I can't download properly or play downloaded vods in PiP and I still get crashing/stopping playback when the screen is off while streaming a vod. All of the things that one gets First for are still basically non-functional and honestly RT should be refunding its mobile First members for 6 months of trash service.
