Closure, Rhodes Island's famous chief engineer and shopkeeper, finally becomes a playable 6-star Tactician Vanguard in Arknights' 7th Anniversary update, Critical Phase Transition. Originally released on the CN server on May 1, 2026, she arrives on Global with the October 14–28 Celebration event.

Unlike traditional Vanguards, Closure combines DP generation, deployment cost refunds, defensive support, and ranged damage through her unique Command Center. She can accelerate expensive team setups while contributing meaningful damage and crowd control.

This Arknights Closure guide covers her talents, best skills, Mastery priorities, Module upgrades, recommended teams, and practical gameplay tips.

Closure Talents Explained

Closure's greatest advantage comes from her two talents, which fundamentally change how she supports the team.

Talent 1 – Precision Deployment

Closure can deploy a Command Center at a Tactical Point within her attack range.

Unlike ordinary Tactician reinforcements, the Command Center does not attack. Instead, it provides 2 Block and establishes an area where friendly Operators are treated as Closure's Reinforcements.

Its key properties include:

  • Costs no DP or normal deployment slot.
  • Automatically respawns 15 seconds after being defeated.
  • Has an effect range that changes depending on Closure's equipped skill.
  • Allows nearby allied Operators to benefit from her Reinforcement-related abilities.

This makes Command Center positioning extremely important. With S2 equipped, placing it near your planned deployment area helps maximize both defensive buffs and DP refunds.

Talent 2 – Scheduler, Max Settings!

Unlocked at Elite 2, this talent provides two effects:

Effect

E2 Value

Minimum DP Limit

Reduced by 3

Rhodes Island ATK Bonus

+4%

The first effect allows your DP balance to temporarily become negative, essentially giving you a small amount of additional deployment flexibility.

The second provides an ATK increase to Operators belonging to the Rhodes Island faction.

Importantly, these effects apply when Closure is included in the squad, even before she is deployed.

Closure Skills: Which One Is Best?

Closure has three skills, but S2 and S3 are the main reasons to invest in her.

Recommendation: Keep at Skill Level 7 unless you specifically need its automatic utility.

Skill 1 – Recursive Tactics

S1 automatically grants one non-stacking Shield to Closure's Reinforcements while generating DP over eight seconds. The DP generated increases with repeated activations, reaching 7 DP per use at M3.

Its biggest advantage is convenience. You do not need to manage activation timing, making it suitable for straightforward stages. However, S1 lacks S2's powerful refund mechanic and S3's offensive potential.

Skill 2 – Model Expansion

S2 is Closure's strongest skill for deployment economy. At M3, Model Expansion provides:

Deployment Refund

40%

During the skill, Operators deployed within the Tactical Point's effect area immediately receive a refund equal to 40% of their deployment cost. For example, deploying a 30-DP Operator under the correct conditions refunds 12 DP.

That means Closure does more than generate DP herself. She also makes deploying expensive teammates significantly more efficient.S2 additionally allows Closure to attack enemies blocked by her Reinforcements, even beyond her normal attack range.

Best for: Rapid deployment, expensive DPS Operators, and stages where early DP is limited.

Skill 3 – Q.E.D.

S3 turns Closure into a surprisingly capable ranged attacker.

At M3, Q.E.D. provides:

  • 18 DP over 30 seconds
  • Reduced attack interval
  • 250% ATK as Physical damage
  • 6% Sluggish per hit, stacking up to 60%
  • One additional attack target after every nine attacks, up to six increases

Its targeting also extends to enemies within Closure's range and the normal attack ranges of her Reinforcements. This can provide impressive battlefield coverage when you position Operators carefully around the Command Center.S3 is especially effective against sustained enemy waves, where its repeated attacks can increase target count and build Sluggish stacks.

Best for: General stages, multi-target damage, extended-range attacks, and crowd control.

Best Skill Mastery Priority

Both S2 and S3 are excellent investments, but their value depends on your playstyle.

Best Reason

1A

S2M3

Maximum deployment efficiency

1B

S3M3

Strong damage and versatile targeting

3

S1

Usually unnecessary

Choose S2M3 first if you frequently deploy expensive Operators or want to optimize DP-heavy openings.

Choose S3M3 first if you prefer Closure to contribute damage throughout normal stages.

For long-term investment, S2M3 + S3M3 is an excellent goal. S1 Mastery is generally unnecessary.

Best Closure Module

Closure's Module is TAC-X – Little Trophy For Herself.

Level

Main Benefit

Level 1

Reinforcements take 15% less damage from enemies they block

Level 2

Minimum DP limit -4; Rhodes Island ATK +6%

Level 3

Minimum DP limit -5; Rhodes Island ATK +8%

Level 1 improves the durability of her Reinforcement setup.Levels 2 and 3 strengthen her second talent, giving the squad more DP flexibility and improving Rhodes Island Operators' offensive performance.

Module Level 3 is recommended for players who regularly use Closure, especially in Rhodes Island-focused teams. Players with limited resources can prioritize their preferred S2 or S3 Mastery first.

Best Teams for Closure

Closure is extremely flexible and does not require one fixed team. The following compositions are practical examples built around her strengths.

This team focuses on deploying expensive Operators as quickly as possible.Bagpipe helps Vanguards activate skills earlier, while Myrtle provides additional DP generation.Closure's S2 then accelerates deployment further, particularly when Mudrock or Ch'en the Holungday can be placed within the Command Center's effect area.

Best Closure Skill: S2

Blaze provides reliable frontline damage, while Amiya handles Arts-resistant or Physical-resistant threats as appropriate. Warfarin adds healing and offensive support, and Ch'en the Holungday supplies powerful area damage.Closure can use S2 for deployment efficiency or S3 for additional damage.

Ptilopsis

This composition prioritizes consistency.Closure's S3 provides additional ranged damage and Sluggish, while Suzuran helps control enemy movement. Saria protects the frontline, Eyjafjalla handles major Arts damage requirements, and Ptilopsis provides sustain.

Best Closure Skill: S3

These five-Operator cores can be expanded with additional Snipers, Guards, or Specialists depending on the stage.

Closure Gameplay Tips

  • Position the Command Center carefully. Its placement determines which Operators can benefit from Closure's Reinforcement mechanics.
  • Deploy expensive Operators during S2. The 40% refund only matters when you actually deploy qualifying Operators inside its effect area while the skill is active.
  • Do not overlook S3's targeting range. Properly positioned Reinforcements can allow Closure to attack enemies outside her usual coverage.
  • Use her DP debt mechanic strategically. A temporarily negative balance can enable an important deployment slightly earlier.
  • Remember that Closure is still a Vanguard. Her damage is impressive for the class, but she should complement dedicated DPS rather than automatically replace them.

Arknights

Final Verdict

Closure is one of Arknights' most versatile Tactician Vanguards, combining exceptional DP utility, flexible ranged attacks, and team support. Her main strength lies in choosing the right skill for the situation. S2M3 enables powerful early deployment strategies, while S3M3 provides consistent damage, wider targeting, and crowd control.

For most long-term players, investing in both skills and upgrading TAC-X to Level 3 will unlock her full potential.Whether you want to deploy high-cost Operators earlier or strengthen your regular story team, Closure offers a unique combination of utility and damage that makes her a valuable addition to many Arknights rosters.
