Updated: didn't think it was possible, has gotten even worse. Something Amazon is doing, or not doing, is making the app and devices malfunction more often. They were good for a while. Now, I'd rather invest in another platform. I won't be adding anymore Echo devices. No matter how cheap they are. The latest is that they've disconnected scenes or made the app incompatible with Hunter Douglas blinds. None of my routines work anymore.
settings are a mess, spread all over the place, not intuitive at all, no way to make my Anazon Alexa Show display the correct time or trigger events at the right time. everything happens an hour ahead of when it should because there's no way to fix it. changing the time zone does nothing because the app doesn't list the device as compatible. This app is a confusing,non-user friendly hot mess.
I'm not sure what is up with this app. I use Alexa to read my books to me from the Kindle app. Sometimes, for no reason at all, it pauses, the jumps back about 5 minutes in the book. I was listening this morning while I showered. Nobody touched my phone, no notifications came thru on my phone, no one was talking except Alexa. She just about thru chapter 2 then suddenly, back to saying "Chapter 2". It has done it in the last 48 hours more than usual, but it's not a new thing at all. Grr.
