Event Overview
As introduced above, the Whiteout Survival Frostfire Mine pits you against other players on a special map, where the goal is to collect the most Orichalcum. And below is the basic information you need to know about the event.
- Event Type: Solo, bi-weekly PvP event
- Duration: 30 minutes per match
- Registration: Opens 10 minutes before each of the following UTC time slots: 02:00, 05:00, 11:00, 14:00
Gameplay Mechanics
Map Zones
The map is divided into three distinct zones:
- Zone 1: Features Level 1 veins, ideal for players with lower power levels (20 to 40 million).
- Zone 2: Contains Level 2 veins, offering moderate Orichalcum yields.
- Zone 3: Houses Level 3 veins and the Smelter, providing the highest Orichalcum yields but is highly contested.
Higher-level veins yield significantly more Orichalcum. Players can strategically reposition across the map using free Advanced Teleporters, which have a cooldown period between uses.
Veins & Orichalcum
Veins are the primary sources of Orichalcum in Frostfire Mine. These veins are protected by Mine Guards, which players must defeat to trigger the appearance of Orichalcum Piles. You can then send squads to loot these piles without using up your regular march queue.
Vein Outbursts
Veins periodically experience “Outbursts,” which boost Orichalcum yield significantly. Each Outburst contains a total of 4,000 Orichalcum, gathered at a rate of +200 per second—meaning they can be fully harvested in just 20 seconds. These Outbursts should always be prioritized over regular veins. They spawn at the 8, 9, 10, 18, 19, and 20-minute marks during gameplay. Unlike common Veins, Outbursts are not guarded by Phaethon Mine Guards, making them easy targets for all players. Be sure to focus on harvesting these high-yield opportunities whenever they appear.
Smelter Contest
At the 23-minute mark, the Smelter unlocks in Zone 3. Controlling the Smelter for longer durations awards increased end-of-battle Orichalcum and ranking rewards, with the top 1–10 players receiving additional bonuses.
Troops & Heroes
Troops in Frostfire Mine are unlimited and not permanently lost upon defeat. However, heroes enter a 5-minute cooldown period if they are defeated.
Teleportation
During the event, you can use Advanced Teleports for free, but each use has a 6-minute cooldown. Additional teleports used within this cooldown period will cost an increasing amount of Advanced Teleport items.
The Advanced Teleporter allows you to freely reposition across the map strategically, with a maximum of five uses per event. Remember, each teleport triggers the cooldown timer.
Buffs & Bonuses
In-Mine Buffs: Research bonuses, VIP perks, items, heroes, and skins remain active inside the mine. However, march speed and gathering speed buffs from external sources (such as alliance or gem buffs) do not apply—only buffs from Frostfire Skills are effective during the event.
Frostfire Skill Tree (L1–L5)
There are 2 Level of mine patrol on the map which if attacked will give XP to improve your skills in frostfire.

Winning Strategies to Achieve Success
F2P / Low-spender Strategy -- Hunt (RRLLR)
Skill Tree: Right (Lv.1) → Right (Lv.2) → Left (Lv.3) → Left (Lv.4) → Right (Lv.5)
Reasons:
- Level 1 – Patrol Farming:
Defeat Patrol Units to earn 1,500 Orichalcum per kill. A solid early-game point source.
- Level 2 – March Speed Boost:
Increases Troop March Speed by 25%, helping you reach veins and patrols faster.
- Level 3 – Bonus Skill Timing:
The skill activates every 60 seconds. Watch the in-game clock and recall your nearest march each minute to trigger a 5,000 Orichalcum bonus.
- Level 4 – Late Game Focus:
By now, the match is nearing its end. Hero recovery takes too long, so the left-side skill path is often more effective.
- Level 5 – Final Push:
Time is tight. You can gather faster by sending fewer troops, but this reduces Orichalcum gain. Only do so if you're racing for one last point bump.
Tactics:
- Pre-Event Setup: Teleport near the center, where Patrols spawn in clusters and there are at least two Level 2–3 mines nearby.
- First Actions: Attack nearby Patrols before teleporting. When you do teleport, make sure you're positioned right next to at least two Level 2 or 3 mines.
——Level 2 mine: 960 Orichalcum/min
——Level 3 mine: 1,920 Orichalcum/min
- During Vein Outbursts: Recall all troops and redirect them to the outburst veins. Afterward, resume Patrol clearing or mine gathering.
- Final Minutes: Focus on Smelter control or burst timing. Use damage boosts or fast-gather setups to secure a last-minute point surge.
Smelter Tips:
Even if you're not the strongest, try to occupy the Smelter, even briefly—every second adds to your score. Use gems for march speed-ups if needed.
At the end, you'll get bonus Orichalcum based on your occupation ranking, which significantly boosts your total points.
Mid-to‑high spender Strategy -- Gather (LLLLR)
*Note: As long as you can hold Level 3 mines, this strategy remains effective.
Use your pet and apply a 10% gathering boost (20% is optional, not essential).
For best results, enter the event with a presidential title like Minister of Defense or Minister of Strategy to gain extra buffs.
Skill Tree: Left (Lv.1) → Left / Right (Lv.2) → Left (Lv.3) → Left (Lv.4) → Right (Lv.5)
Reasons:
- Level 1 – Gathering Efficiency:
Level 1–3 Veins all yield 32 Orichalcum/sec (1,920/min). Gathering from Level 3 mines is usually more efficient than hitting Patrols due to shorter downtime.
- Level 2 – March Speed Boost:
Grants +25% March Speed. If you're struggling to hold or contest mines, consider switching to the left-side talents for better control.
- Level 3 – Bonus Skill Timing:
The skill activates every 60 seconds. Watch the clock, recall one march from the nearest mine each minute to trigger the 5,000 Orichalcum bonus.
- Level 4 – Match Nearing End:
Hero recovery takes too long at this stage. Focus on holding key positions and maximizing last-minute gathering.
- Level 5 – Final Decisions:
Time is tight. Using fewer troops speeds up gathering but reduces Orichalcum gain. Weigh speed vs. efficiency based on your current rank.
Tactics:
- Pre-Event Setup: Teleport into a Level 3 zone with easy access to multiple Level 3 Veins and Patrols. Positioning early gives you a strong resource and point advantage.
- Initial Actions: Before your next teleport, attack any nearby Patrols. Deploy 4 marches to occupy Level 3 Veins and 2 marches to engage Patrols. Activate your Vein Bonus Skill every minute—then recall your troops and redeploy to maintain control and maximize resource gain.
- During Vein Outbursts: Temporarily withdraw troops from veins and prioritize vein outbursts for maximum points. Once the outburst ends, return to normal gathering.
- Final Stage Strategy: In the last few minutes, activate a Level 5 Gathering Boost or Damage Boost to secure dominance over the Smelter and earn top-tier rewards.
Smelter Tips: Likewise the strategy of Hunt that try to occupy the Smelter.
Key Tips & Timing
- Map Positioning: Choose a starting location that overlaps with a Level 1 or Level 2 Vein. Avoid areas with high player density to reduce early competition.
- Vein Outburst Timings: Veins typically erupt around the 8–10 minute and 18–20 minute marks. Plan your movements accordingly to maximize resource gains.
- Smelter Control: Even brief control of the Smelter yields rewards—your earnings scale with the number of seconds you occupy it. Don’t miss out on short opportunities.
- Teleport Strategy: Use your initial teleport wisely. A second teleport is optional and should only be used if your starting area has poor vein spawns or intense competition.
