Great app with support for waypoint files and its variety of online and offline maps. Unfortunately, I've docked it 2 stars because I'm put off by the fact that my "pro" purchase used to provide the extra maps but now I have to pay 2 EUR for each of the 3 sets (mapbox, here, and thunderforest). Not sure how long it's been like this, shame shame for moving features behind a paywall, very naughty for doing that to long-time supporters!
GPX PRO helped me to navigate across Normandy along the Véloscenie cycle route. App has many options which I did not learn how to use while on the trip. Take some time to explore the app before you start! I believe that to make your own alternative GPX routes you need a computer, not just the phone app. I used Google maps for any side trips. Easy to download & open GPX files, not always obvious how to close them. Practise, experiment first.
Been using it for years. Offline topo maps + GPX tracks with elevation graph = ♥ . Even made suggestions to the Dev. who chose to implement some. Recording is also nice and can be made low battery consumption. Reliable app and no BS. Simple to use. The best few euros I ever spent.
