This is a great app with amazing features and nice people. Sometimes it's almost a little too flirty, but hey, why not having fun while learning a new language. On the down side: the app is quite unstable, "forgets" texts, frequently fails to send them and it lacks a desktop version. The search for nearby people is restricted to paying customers.

Tandem is a great app, but it comes with major flaws. Like when someone calls me or I can them we often have to troubleshoot for minutes to hear each other's voice, or even get the answer and decline buttons in the call menu which doesn't pop up for some reason. Also, messages often don't send or are being sent twice. Update: It got even worse; what do you know.. Due to a "weak connection" messages won't load.. I think a weak connection is not an option when I literally have an LTE+ connection..

It's a wonderful app which is being very useful in Meeting the right people to learn! But as a pro member it annoys me when I never get notifications when I receive messages from people. I've all the settings for it right, but still it doesn't work. It'll be really great if you guys can fix this!
