The game is beautiful, and the story had me engaged. The gameplay relying so heavily on rng to get the correct power up is frustrating and ruins the fun though. If you could swap endlessly it would be merely annoying, but since you can swap only once the game feels more like a slot machine than an endless runner. Limiting my actions in this way is frustrating without adding anything to the game, in my opinion.
Cute art design, but gameplay is lacking. You have to rapidly use one of various tools or power-ups to survive obstacles. These are limited in quantity, and your run only lasts as long as your power-ups. You only have 3 slots, but there are more than 3 power-ups. If the wrong ones are up, you fail. The types are placed randomly in the 3 slots. Swiping to change to another power-up is too slow and often fails, wasting your power-up. Runs are very short ... Is this a new "Endfull runner" genre?
I really wanted to like this game. I gave it a 3 star because the game itself is beautiful and fun to play. But the fact that your progression is based on just luck and nothing else makes the game feel broken to me. At least disable the cool down of the tool swap and balance it by maybe adding more obstacle frequency or something . I just feel like I might as well just go flip a coin and take a shot Everytime it lands on heads and have the same/or a better experience doing that instead.
