This game is really fun, but can be insanely hard, like, make me contemplate my video game skill near impossible. But awesome game, looks great, fun, really entertaining, and lovable. It gives you something to do. It's a score game, not a completion game, and it's retro styled. It's got lots of awesome Japanese music like Vocaloid stuff and more for purchase. I'm not a fan of the game's remixes at all, but hey, I'm still playing it so they did something right. That's up to you though, you might like the music. I say give it a shot either way, you got nothing to lose, and after you've gotten used to the controls you can take a quick look through the shop to see if there's any songs from outside stuff you like. OH WAIT- one thing... After you've put your account on 6 devices, you have to do a whole back and forth emailing thing with the company. That's a total pain and I'm not looking forward to doing that again when I get a new phone. Be very careful about which devices you register on.
Really cool and unique gameplay compared to other rhythm games. However I really don't like the song selections. I find 95% I've played so far to be pretty trash. The paid music packs would probably feature a lot better music. Along with that, the notes can be a little difficult to time. Sometimes notes come at a speed you barely have time to react too, and with all the crazy effects going on in the background it can be hard to spot some incoming notes.
Love this game! Very simple to pick up but challenging to master, has a lot of good songs. Not epileptic friendly, and the coaster gimmick can cause mild motion sickness until you get used to it. The DLC cost everyone complains about in reviews comes out to about a dollar a song. Despite playing on some garbage phones, I've never had any performance issues. My only gripe is that I wished there was a random song selection like in the arcade versions. Great introduction to the series regardless!
