Really enjoying the game so far, definitely a good twist on the classic building RTS genre. While there are microtransactions they are reasonably priced but you don't technically need to buy them, providing you put a grind in, purchasing only speeds up the process of becoming stronger. Plenty of challenges which aren't too congested or unrealistic to achieve. All in all, I'm really enjoying the game after 2 days of playtime.
I think this had a chance at being a really fun game, but it has a Ton of problems. It needs to be refreshed every 5-10 minutes or it freezes so hard I have to restart my phone. Auto-translate doesn't translate. They cut short an event to get a free commander. They give you 'gifts' that you have to spend $ to use. Worst of all, it acts like a big money grab. You can't attack across regions, but a transport item costs 5000 diamonds, which is a lot in this game, unless you spend $. Sad. Deleting.
Empire: Rising Civilization This game really surprised me. I have seen and played several mobile games over the years that, at first glace, appeared very similar to this game, but were quite unplayable unless you dumped huge amounts of money into them continually - a thing I never did. So, I stopped playing those games. Along comes Empire: Rising Civilization. I almost avoided trying it because of my past experiences, but I am very glad I tried it. There is pretty much ALWAYS something to do. You will keep busy making sure you're doing everything that needs to be done to keep growing your forces, but at the same time, it isn't overwhelming either. There is a high level of rewards and boosts to get new players started and brought up to speed with the rest of the pack, which I find very nice. It does slow down a bit to a very reasonable level by around level 50 (I am currently level 61) but there are still lots of rewards and motivational aspects to keep you interested and playing. The performance on my phone is better than most games, and no random crashing or rebooting. Well done, team! Probably one of my biggest positives to say about the game is they do not flood you with tons of advertisements. The only ads I've seen were for in-game purchases, and they are non-obtrusive semi-still/moving images with concise info provided. Not like many games where to get anywhere you need to constantly watch tons of ads which eventually make you bored and stop playing. Although I am not normally convinced to make a purchase with the tactics many developers use, with this game, I actually wanted to make a purchase to support the developers, so I did. To the team who made and works on this game: Job well done!!
