A good app for playing the variant sudoku puzzles from Cracking the Cryptic. Unfortunately, it's lagging so far behind the web version that it outright can't play some of the newer puzzles. As of this review, this app was last updated at the end of 2021, so it's missing over a year of updates. As a secondary thing, it would be cool to be able to construct (or enter) custom puzzles with some of the common variant features, rather than only pure classic sudoku.

I love ctc as a channel, and their puzzles are amazing. This interface is the best around, imo. 1 thing I noticed is that on the tips and tricks, and tools pages. They don't scroll (working from an android phone) I'm sure there will be updates to fix as time goes. Also, when you place a wrong digit and you undo, it undos the previous step also. would love a desktop version of this app too! Also, will more complex constraints like thermos and sandwiches going to be added eventually? Amazing app!

Awesome app. Any puzzles I find in books, magazine, wherever, I input them in here in a couple seconds, and then enjoy doing the puzzle. Better than paper and pencil, but not as intrusive as other Sudoku apps that automatically highlight all numbers, or the columns and rows as you click on stuff. (you can double click to highlight the numbers though) They may be worthwhile features, but I'm sure it'd be added as a setting if it gets added, which is nice to have the choice.
