ScamShield Description
When you receive an SMS from an unknown contact, ScamShield will determine if the SMS is a scam using an on-device algorithm, and send a push notification to help you identify a potential scam.
When you receive an incoming call from an unknown contact, ScamShield compares the caller against a list maintained by the Singapore Police Force to determine if the number has been used for illegal purposes and blocks it. This feature may not work on phones using Android 9 and below.
When you receive a scam message or call that was not flagged by the app, you can report the scam message or call through ScamShield’s reporting feature.
ScamShield cannot read SMSes from your contacts, and does not collect any personal information. For ScamShield to work properly, you will need to make it your default caller ID & spam app, and allow a few permissions during the setup process.
