Ibrahim Al-Dosari is a Quran reciter and expert from Saudi Arabia. Ibrahim Al Dosari was born in 1965 in Riyadh and received a public education in the schools of the city. Ibrahim Al Dosari studied at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in religious sciences with honors "very good" in 1986. In 1991 Al Dosari obtained a master's degree with honors "excellent" and in 1994 , he obtained a doctorate with "first class honors".
Ibrahim Al Dosari has acquired expertise in the seven recitations and ten modes of recitation of the Quran according to the methods of Shatibiyya, Ad-Durrah and At-Tayyibah. He received recitation authorizations (ijazas) from several master reciters.
Ibrahim Al Dosari began his career as a teacher with the Ministry of Education in 1986, teaching the Quran in a middle and high school in Riyadh. Later, Ibrahim Al Dosari joined the Ministry of Higher Education as an assistant at Imam Muhammad bin Saud University, where he gradually rose through the ranks to become a professor in 2005.
In addition to his teaching duties, Imam Ibrahim Al-Dosari held several positions and was involved in various committees and councils locally and nationally. Ibrahim Al-Dosari was appointed as a member of the committee to develop the curricula of Quran recitation degree at the Faculty of Religious Studies in 2000, member of the committee to develop the curricula of recitation studies of the Quran for teachers in 2001. Ibrahim Al-Dosari was also a member of the Scientific Council of Imam University for two years from 2003, and he contributed to the establishment of the Founding Committee of the Saudi Scientific Society for the Quran and its sciences the same year. In addition, he is a member of the Superior Council of Charitable Associations for the memorization of the Koran.
Currently, Ibrahim Al-Dosari has been an imam and preacher at the Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Mosque in Riyadh since 1983 and is also a professor holding the King Abdulaziz Chair for the Quran.
Imam Ibrahim Al-Dosari has written several works on the recitations, interpretation and sciences of the Quran, including "Imam Al-Mutawalli and his contributions to the science of recitations", "The mention of the Quran concerning the knowledge of David and Solomon", "The explanation of the Muqaddimah Al-Jazariyah", "The characteristics of the educational interpretation of the Quran", "Highlighting the meaning in the recitation of the Quran", "The methods used in the teaching of the Quran in the schools of memorization of the Quran in Saudi Arabia", and "Glossary of terms in the sciences of psalmody and recitations" published in 1424 H.
