HektAR Description
In Hectar, players take control of a small virtual farm with the aim of sustainably meeting the needs of a growing community. Resources such as land, water and labor can be used to grow various crops as well as to buy and care for animals. Topics related to food production and waste use as well as weather events due to climate change should be dealt with. Players learn about the need for agricultural products, the relationship to the climate, seasonality, soil degradation, water consumption, as well as the needs of animals and agricultural waste. At the same time, various phenomena of climate change are slowly affecting the environment through increasing production - drought and increased rainfall affect the soil and water supply, pests and diseases slow down growth, forcing players to make tough decisions.
