Welcome to the App that shows you the Cerro Pintados Geoglyphs Site Museum where you will be able to learn various information about the different works of rock art embodied since pre-Hispanic times and that today are part of the cultural heritage of the Tarapacá region and our country.
This archaeological site was declared a Historic Monument in 1969 and since 1987 it has been protected and safeguarded by CONAF as it is part of the Pampa del Tamarugal National Reserve.
According to its historical and cultural relevance, it is pertinent to disseminate the archaeological site, where the ancestors of the Chilean great north carried out daily activities that allowed in very remote times the connection between the pampas and the sea through the so-called caravan routes, thus connecting different floors. ecological.
On site, to facilitate your visit, you will find paved access, parking lots, recreation spaces, restrooms, and cultural trails. Likewise, inside the museum there are 8 scanning points-5 inside the museum and 3 outside-, where you can obtain relevant information about these impressive formations made by humans.
On the interpretive trail located outside the museum, you can enjoy nature passing through the Crespo Activo de Pintados salt flat and finding 3 stations with scannable points arranged for observing the various hills and their geoglyphs.
