FlashMots Description
This app does not teach you to read. It is intended to improve the speed and quality of reading (as well as diction) by "encoding" in its long-term memory (its lexicon) the most common words in order to be able to read and understand them instantly.
Anyone can use this app once learning to read phonics is in place (usually around mid-grade). It is mainly intended for those who read little (or not) but anyone can use it to simply control their lexicon and diction.
This application contains about 3700 words divided into different levels going from CP to the end of college (the most "dense" steps are those going from CE2 to 6e, it takes a little courage and tenacity to pass them) . These words come from the Dubois-Buyse scale of usual French spelling established around 1940 and then updated. This scale groups together commonly used words that are assumed to be familiar to any French-speaking adult.
For those who have speech therapy, do not hesitate to ask your speech therapist for advice in order to check that these exercises are relevant and appropriate.
