Clarification in rhetoric sciences. It is a book on the science of rhetoric compiled by al-Khatib al-Qazwini. It is an explanation of his book Summary of the Key, which is an abbreviation of the book Miftah al-Uloom by al-Sakaki.

In this book, the author was distinguished for his investigation, and he did not leave a fragment of the issues of rhetoric, except that he presents them in a detailed and accurate presentation, and is familiar with all opinions, whether they were in his time, or before his era.
In the introduction to the book, he said: This is a book on the science of rhetoric and its sequels. I translated it with “Al-Iddah” and made it according to the arrangement of my abbreviation, which I called “Tahlees Al-Muftah.” I simplified the saying in it to be like an explanation for it. From what was included in the “Miftah al-Uloom” and to what was left out of the key from the words of Sheikh Imam Abd al-Qaher al-Jurjani, may God have mercy on him, in his book “Dala’il al-I’jaz” and “Asrar al-Balaghah”, and to what facilitated consideration of the words of others. Everything in it is in its place, and I added to that what hurt my mind, and I could not find it for anyone else. So, praise be to God, he brought together the fragments of this knowledge, and to Him I desire to make it useful to those who look into it from those with understanding, and He is sufficient for me, and He is the best and the trustee.
