The new update is set to be released on July 16, 2025, and will last until the end of August 2025. The launch is going to happen at regional times, as follows.

New Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1 Banners and Characters

The version introduces two new S-Rank characters who will be featured from the Spook Shack faction, alongside reruns of previously released characters. The Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1 banners have two phases with two timelines.

Phase 1: From July 16, 2025, to August 6, 2025

• Ukinami Yuzuha: Ukinami is going to be an S-ranked physical supporter and a member of the Shack Faction. She has the best capacity for enhancing Anomaly-focused teams, and her kit can increase the squad's Attribute Anomaly Buildup Rate and increase damage taken by enemies from Disorder and Attribute Anomaly effects. The W Engine Metanukimorphosis, which is the signature of Yuzuha, will be available in their respective W Engine banners.

• Yanagi: Yanagi is here as an S-ranked rerunning anomaly character along with increased drop rates. -
• A-Rank Characters with Boosted Rates: Just as with Phase 1, specific A-Rank characters named are going to be included, too.
• Bangboo Banner: Continues to feature the Spook Shack faction Bangboo: Miss Esme and will be available through both phases. And yes, it is going to be included with regeneration and HP abilities. 

Banner Mechanics

Players are guaranteed an A-Rank or higher every 10 pulls and an S-Rank every 90 pulls on event banners within this new Zenless Zone Zero version 2.1. The Exclusive Channel will include W-Engines, so S-Rank pulls are not always characters. The standard banner is going to remain unchanged, and it will offer a permanent pool for agents as usual. There will also be W-Engines with a 20% discount on the first five 10-pulls and a guaranteed S-Rank within 50 pulls for new players.
