How to Get Animals in Raise Animals - The Full Guide
If you’re looking to add new creatures to your collection in Raise Animals, knowing the right steps to unlock each animal is key. Different species require specific challenges, biome access, or in-run tasks to obtain—and this guide will walk you through the core methods to get the animals you want. Whether you’re targeting common early-game picks or rare shinies, we’ll break down the essential steps to expand your roster.
How to get S Rank Animals
Capybara

The only method to obtain the Capabara is via the game’s daily wheel. It has replaced the Golden Lion on the daily wheel in the latest update. Players can use leftover spins from previous updates or log in daily to claim free spins to try their luck and unlock this exclusive animal.
Medusa

You can obtain Medusa from the Medusa NPC during the Ocean Event (UPDATE 1) by exchanging 40,000 Corals.
Skeleton Horse

To obtain the Skeleton Horse, head to the Halloween event in Ray's Animals and interact with the event NPC. The horse is available for purchase here, with a guaranteed spawn rate. Additionally, you can buy the Bone Lasso (5 power, 40 range) from the same NPC, though note that the lasso may have occasional glitches. Simply visit the event area, talk to the NPC, and you’ll be able to add this powerful, collision-breaking horse to your collection.
Savannah Ninja

The Savannah Ninja is no longer obtainable via in-game methods. It was only available for one week post-launch (pre-Update 1), where trading a Legendary+ animal to a specific NPC gave a 10% chance to unlock it. The NPC and this method were removed in Update 1, so the sole way to acquire it now is through player-to-player trading—often exchanging high-value creatures like two Mosasauruses for one Savannah Ninja.
Headless Horse

To unlock the Heelless Horse, you need to encounter a pumpkin fall event where pumpkins fall from the sky in any biome. This event is distinct from the Halloween biome. The horse has a 20% chance to spawn at the start of this rare event, and a notification will appear at the bottom of the screen when it spawns. Note that pumpkin fall events are infrequent—you may need to travel significant distances often tens of thousands of meters to trigger one. Avoid colliding with falling pumpkins as they cause damage and stay alert to catch the horse when it appears.
Anubis

To obtain the Anubis Pet, you need to purchase it from the Oasis Shop at a cost of 60,000 water droplets. This is significantly more expensive than most other in-game pets, which typically cost around 20,000 currency. You may need to buy multiple packs to accumulate enough water droplets, and the pet is likely available as a guaranteed purchase when it appears in the shop. The Oasis Shop also offers other items like the bone fence for 20,000 water droplets, but the Anubis Pet is the primary high-value exclusive available there.
How to get A Rank Animals
Mosasaurus

To obtain the Mosasaurus, first unlock the Cretaceous biome, the only area where eggs spawn. Enter the biome, wait for an egg fall event, and ram into eggs to collect them (30% collection chance). Take the egg to the incubation machine and use egg fusion. Exchange dinosaurs like the Utahraptor for DNA to upgrade the egg to at least Tier 4. Tier 4 eggs have a 10% hatch chance for the Mosasaurus, while Tier 5 increases it to 15% with extra luck. Place the upgraded egg in the incubator and wait 2 hours to hatch. It can also be acquired through player-to-player trading due to high demand.
Whale Shark

To catch the Whale Shark, first unlock the Ocean biome by saving 2 million coins. Enter a game and ride every ocean-dwelling animal in a single run. Most ocean animals are easy to find, but the Orca is the rarest—prioritize leaping onto it when spotted. Ride all required ocean creatures including the whale, crab, jellyfish, turtle, small fish, and small shark. Once all are ridden, the Whale Shark will spawn in the Ocean biome. Catch up to it before the biome ends (it will despawn afterward) and stay on it to tame it.
Golden Lion

Obtain the Golden Lion via two methods: ride a regular Lion and eat three Lions in one game to trigger its spawn, or spin the daily wheel (1% chance) with purchasable extra spins. The former preserves its intended rarity, while the latter offers a low-chance alternative.
Phoenix

To obtain the Phoenix, first reach 5,000 meters in a single game. The Lion is recommended for this task as it is fast and can eat most creatures in its path, making it easier to navigate to the 5,000-meter mark. Once you reach 5,000 meters, the Phoenix will spawn. Jump on it and carefully tame it—note that the taming process takes a considerable amount of time. After successful taming, the Phoenix is yours to use whenever you like.
Ice Mammoth

To get the Ice Mammoth, complete a specific in-run challenge. First, travel to the savannah biome and ride five elephants in a single run—failing or restarting means starting over. After riding five elephants, continue your run until you reach 2,500 meters. The Ice Mammoth will spawn automatically at this distance. Use your lasso quickly to catch it, as it can escape if you’re not prepared. Once captured, the Ice Mammoth will be added to your zoo and start generating income immediately.
Tyrannosaurus Rex

Purchase the 5 million coin Cretaceous biome, then find the dinosaur biome with a one in four spawn chance. Ride the Spinosaurus which has a 1% spawn chance for 120 seconds to trigger the T-Rex’s spawn. Mount and tame it, avoiding obstacles during its enraged phase.
How to get B Rank Animals
Pharaoh Eagle

To unlock the Pharaoh Eagle first purchase the Dunes Desert map for 7.5 million coins. Enter a game and ride three Sand Cats back to back without riding any other animals in between all within the Dunes Desert biome and under 2,500 meters from the start of the first Sand Cat ride. Sand Cats are common in the Dunes Desert but require careful navigation as they only have one heart. Once three are ridden consecutively the Pharaoh Eagle will spawn. Tame it quickly it takes significantly less time than most other shinies to add it to your collection.
Jack O Lantern

Jack O Lantern is an ultra-rare Rainbow-tier animal tied to the Halloween 2025 event in Raise Animals. You can get it only while the Halloween event is active—either via special premium rewards, exclusive event challenges, or uncommon drops from the Halloween shop. As a Rainbow-rarity creature, it’s among the scarcest animals in the entire game.
Gargoyl

Gargoyle is a scarce Legendary animal tied to the Halloween 2025 event in Raise Animals. You can unlock it only while the Halloween event is running—either by completing special event challenges, claiming premium rewards, or through the Halloween shop. Because it’s a Legendary-rarity creature, it appears (or becomes available) very infrequently.
Orca

The Orca spawns in the Ocean biome of Raise Animals. As a Rainbow-rarity creature, it’s extremely scarce—you’ll need to be patient to come across one. To catch it successfully, make sure you use your top-tier lasso.
Chimpazini

Chimpazini is exclusive to the Brainrot Bundle in the in-game Store. It has a 20% chance of appearing when you purchase this bundle, which makes it a rare and valuable Rainbow-tier animal.
Wood Wood Do

Wood Wood Do is unlocked via the Brainrot Bundle in the in-game Store. After you buy the bundle, you’ll have a 20% chance to come across this animal in the Brainrot biome. It’s an exclusive creature that can only be obtained by purchasing this bundle.
Narwhal

Narwhal spawns in the Tundra biome—when you spot one, use your lasso to catch it. It has an extremely low 1% spawn rate, making it one of the rarest animals in the game. You’ll likely need to explore the Tundra area thoroughly and for a long time to encounter one.
Ghost

Ghost appears in the Halloween 2025 biome. When you come across this wispy creature, use your lasso to capture it. It’s a special Epic animal tied to the Halloween theme, and it comes with distinctive phasing abilities.
Spinosaurus

Spinosaurus only rarely spawns in the Cretaterra region.
Deathstalker Scorpion

To obtain the Deathstalker Scorpion, you can only find it in the Desert biome. It has a 1% spawn rate—this makes it rare, but it’s still more accessible than exclusive or Shine pets. The main challenge lies in catching it: the scorpion burrows underground, so you can’t grab it until it surfaces. Wait for it to come back up, then jump on it at the right moment to add it to your zoo. Once caught, you can place the Deathstalker Scorpion on your plot to start earning cash and Water Drops.
Conclusion
Getting new animals in Raise Animals boils down to meeting biome requirements, completing in-run tasks, and targeting specific creatures in their native habitats. By following the tailored steps for each species—from unlocking biomes to taming rare spawns—you’ll steadily grow your collection. Keep experimenting with different runs, and you’ll unlock even the trickiest animals in no time. Enjoy building your ideal zoo!
