Trait

Caterpillars periodically spawn near Vince, with up to 5 Caterpillars appearing on the field at a time. They spawn every 4–6 seconds. Vince can convert them into Moths by hitting them with his attacks or walking over them. He can collect up to around 20 useful Moths, but loses 50% of his Moths when defeated.

Attack – Espresso Shot

Vince fires a cup of coffee that deals moderate single-target damage from long range. His attack can also convert nearby Caterpillars into Moths. It serves as his main way to collect Moths and deal consistent damage.

Super – Barista Barrage

Vince fires Moth projectiles that deal damage and apply a Caterpillar debuff to enemies. Debuffed enemies take bonus damage from Vince’s main attacks, with each collected Moth adding +100 damage. His Super also becomes stronger as he collects more Moths:

  • Base: 1 piercing projectile + applies the debuff.
  • 5+ Moths: 3 projectiles + ammo steal on hit.
  • 10+ Moths: 5 projectiles + bounce to nearby enemies.
  • 20 Moths: 7 denser projectiles + slow on hit.

These Moth projectiles can pierce walls to deal direct damage to enemies.

Gadgets

  • Hot Coffee: Throws an aimable explosive cappuccino that deals area damage (15-second cooldown).
  • Metamothosis: Converts all nearby Caterpillars into Moths and grants an extra Moth for each Caterpillar collected (13-second cooldown).

Star Powers

  • Come to Papa: Nearby Caterpillars slowly move toward Vince, making them much easier to collect.
  • Bug Bandage: Converting a Caterpillar into a Moth heals Vince for 1,200 HP. This also works with the extra Caterpillars gained through the Metamothosis Gadget.

Best Game Modes for Vince

  • Hot Zone - Hot Zone is one of the best modes for Vince because most fights happen around a limited objective area. He can stay near the zone, collect nearby Caterpillars, and use his ranged attacks to pressure enemies trying to enter.
  • Gem Grab - Vince performs well in Gem Grab because he can apply pressure from a safe distance while controlling a lane. His Super can help him focus down an important enemy, especially the enemy carrying most of the gems.
  • Bounty - Bounty is another strong choice for Vince because the mode rewards careful positioning and ranged damage. Stay behind cover, collect Caterpillars whenever it is safe, and avoid unnecessary fights when carrying a large Moth collection.
  • Brawl Ball - Vince can provide useful ranged pressure in Brawl Ball, but the frequent close-range fights can make Caterpillar collection more difficult.
