Arknights Lingering Echoes Event Guide

With the absolutely difficult Contingency Contracts #9 coming to an end and the rest period ended, Arknights is holding one of the most anticipated updates together with a brand new event - Lingering Echoes. This update bring several new gameplay update which we will go into in another article and an event named Lingering Echoes with brand new characters, new event exclusive furnitures and items and the introduction of a brand new 6* Operator - the 6* Mystic Caster Ebenholz.

 

In this guide, we will go over the details of the brand new event Lingering Echoes, what the event has in store for its players and the rewards players can get from the event and advise players on how they can best get all the rewards from the event. In addition, we will also review the power of the brand new 6* Operator - Ebenholz and see how he operates and advises players on whether or not they should roll for him.

Arknights Limited Time Event - Lingering Echoes

Lingering Echoes is one of the Arknights major big events with various rewards made available for all players during the event period. With the Event, players will be able to claim event exclusive rewards such as a free welfare Czerny, special furniture and 3 Headhunting Tickets.

Lingering Echoes - Main Event Battle Stages

During the event period, special event stages will be available for a limited time and players need to clear through all the stages in order to experience the full story of the event. Players also need to clear all of the event stages in order to clear all of the event’s missions and to gain originiums for stage first-clears.

After the first-clears, players will need to spend their stamina (or “sanity”) in order to farm event currencies to exchange for special rewards in the event shop. The event currencies will be rewarded on a 1:1 scale between sanity spent and amount of currencies gained, so players should focus on clearing high sanity stages and farm on those in order to gain the most amount of event currencies in the fastest way possible.

Lingering Echoes - Main Missions

Special Missions will also be available for all players to clear in order to gain special event currencies. In addition, these missions will also reward players with special furniture and a free Welfare - Czerny.

In order to clear the missions, players will need to finish all of the event battle stages in addition to the challenge stages. All of the missions will only counts the first clear of each stage so for any players who have finished the event before, they will 

need to clear the stages once again in order to claim the mission reward.

Lingering Echoes - Special Challenge Stages

In addition to the main story stages, special challenge stages will also be available for all players to attempt to clear.

For these special Challenge Stages, there’s 2 modes players need to clear - the normal stages and challenge mode stages. Each of the modes will reward players with 1 Originites for each first-clears of the stages, rewarding up to 16 Originites in total for players to gain from these stages.

 

It is important to note that these stages are extremely difficult in nature, so players should prepare their squads properly before attempting these stages.

Lingering Echoes - Event Shop

This time special rewards will be available for all players in the event shop, including special Czerny Tokens needed to be used to up his potential level and upgrade his power, special headhunting tickets (up to 3 tickets), LMDs, EXP cards and special furnitures to complete the event specific furniture set. In addition, special items to help strengthen operator module levels are now also available in the shop for purchase, so players should also prioritize them.

Players should prioritize the special event exclusive rewards on the first tab of the event shop and exchange all of them before moving on to the second event tab. It is also important to note that the event only provides a certain amount of event currencies, therefore, players should consider before exchanging for items in the event shop.

Lingering Echoes- Special Event Welfare - Czerny

The event-specific welfare Operator Czerny will be available for all players to claim through clearing missions and event shops and can be upgraded to max potential once players have claimed all of his tokens in the shop.

Czerny is a 5* Defender operator of the Art Protector class that specializes in tanking arts and ranged damage from enemies from afar, especially caster type enemies. His kit works a big counter against arts enemies, especially with his 2nd skill and his talent. Czerny's main power lies in his talent where, if he is attacked by arts attacks from the enemy, he will deal 50% of his attack damage back as arts damage to the enemy attacking him, weakening or even killing the enemy in the process.

 

Czerny’s 2nd skill is one of the best skills for his archetype as he will receive a massive boost in HP and become more likely to be attacked, drawing enemies’ fire power towards himself to help protect allies. In addition, when attacked, he will have his attack increased gradually, then once the skill ends, he will unleash a big blast of arts damage to all surrounding enemies equal to 200% of his attack as arts damage.

Lingering Echoes Special Rate Up Banner - Should You Roll

Together with the Lingering Echoes event, a special rate up banner will also be running alongside it, featuring the brand new 6* Operator - Ebenholz

Ebenholz

Ebenholz is Arknights first 6* operator of the Mystic Caster archetype, an archetype famous for having massive attack stats ( highest in the game) and the ability to store attack charges to unleash against enemies at once in a burst of damage. Ebenholz is the best example of this archetype as its 6* representative.

Ebenholz’s kit relies heavily on his ability to store up his magic charges. His Skill 2 is the main skill most people use for general content as Ebenholz can summon a number of summons based on his attack charges, planting them as bombs and if the enemy step over them, they will deal massive amounts of arts damage in a wide area.

 

Ebenholz’s boss killing shines best when using his Skill 3 as his attacks now will only focus on Boss and Elite Enemies, allowing him to charge more attack charges and deal massive amounts of damage to the boss once they come into his range of attack.

Should You Roll

It depends. While Ebenholz is an extremely powerful caster type operator that excels in both general contents and boss killing, his kit makes it so that he is extremely difficult and niche to use for players who aren’t familiar with the attack charge system. Therefore, if you are a new player, rolling for Ebenholz is not a priority. If you are a veteran player however, Ebenholz might prove to be extremely useful in harder contents in the game and is worth the roll.
