Skills Overview 

 

Skills are the abilities we see in this game that is going to be activated during the debates. Sometimes these card skills are being passive, and they are automatically starting at a battle start. If it is active skills, they are going to be activated whenever a card is being used.

 

Most of the cards on Tears of Themis are affecting the Defense or the Attacks. They may be increasing a player's own defense of the influence while dealing with severe damage to the enemies, or they make it lower the defense or influence of enemies. There are some R cards that we see skills activating when placed with the support deck, like the cards with the Formidable skill.

 

These skills are capable of upgrading with the use of skill up items on the game, and they all can be gained from the Anomaly levels. And they are also taken from the File Room of NXX Headquarters.

 

Mechanics of the Skills

 

Skills on Tears of Themis coming under several types as follows.

 

Combat Skills

 

  • Damage Amplifications – these skills are directly increasing the outgoing attack damages from the relevant card. For example, we can take the Preemptive Strike, which deals with an amount of percentage influence damage to the single arguments.

 

  • Stat Boost – these skills can increase the defense or influence in subsequent cards for a specific amount of turns. Take the Logical Conclusion β I as an example. It boosts the influence of players' LOGOC cards with a certain amount for around two turns.

 

  • Enemy Stat Reduction – these skills are reducing either defense or influence on the card for a specific number of turns. For example, we can take the Negation y II as it reduces the LOGIC defense of the opponents by a certain amount for around three turns.

 

Self Enhancement Passive

 

These skills increase the defense of the influence on the card by itself within the debates. For example, we can take the Emotional Appeal, which boosts the base influence f the card by a specific amount on each EMPATHY card found on the Primary Deck.

 

Primary Deck Passive

 

These skills are increasing the defense or the influence on all cards we see on the primary deck. For example, there are the President's Orders, and it is boosting the base defense on all the cards of Marius on the Primary Deck with a certain amount.

 

Support Deck Passive 

 

These skills increase the defense or the influence on all the cards we see on the primary deck. As an example, we can take Formidable as it boosts players' influence by 0.19% of the additional amount when this card seems on the support deck.

 

Cards have specific patterns on unlocking based on their rarity. At level one, R, SR, and SSR rarity combat skills are unlocked. The Support deck passive from the R rarity and the self-enhancement passives from SR and SSR rarities are unlocking at level 40. No R cards are activating at level 70, but the primary deck passives of SR and SSR are activated on this level. More details on this are described here.

 

Tiers

 

Cards are holding the skills depending on three tiers as I, II, and III. These are identified as R, SR, and the SSR cards of rarity, respectively. The higher tiers' skills have higher multipliers than the lower ones, even though they all hold similar effects. As an example

 

  • Preemptive Strike I is dealing with a 108% of influence damage to the single arguments within the 1st level. And we see a 140.04% to the level 10

 

  • Preemptive Strike II deals with 109% of influence damage to the single arguments within the 1st level. And we see a 145% to the level 10

 

  • Preemptive Strike III deals with 110% of influence damage to the single arguments within the 1st level. And there will be a 149.96% to the level 10

 

Attributes

 

Stat boosting skills affect the single attributes, and sometimes they can affect all attributes on neutral. While these neutral sets are increasing flexibly, they generally hold some low modifiers than those stat boosts of a single attribute. As an example

 

  • Bait and Lure y I at level one boosting the influence of the player's EMPATHY cards within three turns by an amount of 3.6%.

 

  • Layer by Layer y I at level 1 is boosting the influence of players for around three turns by 2.2%

 

Cards are not capable of obtaining the skills that boost different attributes than the own attribute of the card. They will be neutral or being same as the card. More about the cards can be viewed from our Ultimate Card Guide from here.

 

N Turns

 

These are the skills that boost the defense or influence for N turns which are coming under three variants as α, β, and γ. They are applying effects on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd turns, respectively. Usually, the effects lasting more on turns have a low multiply per turn, but the results here will be high at the overall increase of the stats. Examples here are

 

  • Indirect Approach α I at level one is reducing the EMPATHY defense of enemies by 11.4% for a one turn

 

  • Indirect Approach β I am reducing the EMPATHY defense of the enemies at level one for two rounds by 7.8%

 

  • Indirect Approach γ I am reducing the EMPATHY defense on enemies at level one for three turns by 7.2%

 

Self Enhancement Passives

 

Enhancement passive skills come under a flat increase or with a % increasing. They are also a set modifier and sometimes increase per several specific cards within the primary deck. These cards are also specified depending on the attribute or by their featured characters. Examples are as follows.

 

  • Balanced II boosting the base influence of the card within debates by 144

 

  • Extrapolation II is boosting the base influence of the card within debates by 36%

 

  • Deductive Reasoning II boosts the base influence of the card on each LOGIC card by 21 at the primary deck.

 

  • Painstaking Investigator II is boosting the base influence of the card on every LOGIC card by 1.15% within the Primary deck.

 

  • Sharp One II is boosting the base influence of the card by 21.5 on every Marius card at the primary deck.

 

Primary Deck Passives

 

These boost the stats on specific cards at the primary deck by a flat increase or with a % increasing. They are also specifying the cards depending on the attribute or by their featured characters. These skills are only affecting the primary deck of this card itself is within the primary deck. Examples are as follows.

 

  • Drastic Measures II is boosting the base influence on all the EMPATHY cards by 1.15% at the primary deck

 

  • Strike Weakness II is boosting the base influence on all the EMPATHY cards by 21 at the primary deck

 

  • President Orders III is boosting the base defense on all the Marius cards by 21 at the primary deck

 

Support Deck Passives

 

Support Deck passives only take the effects when the cards with this skill are placed within the support deck. Currently, these passives are coming on the Progressive and Formidable skills, and they are limited with the R rarity cards.
