ive had this app for about 3 years now. I love it. Aside from the mic being functional while on a phone call, other apps cannot access the mic. Im sure intelligence agencies and the phone makers have a way around it, but most apps are probably stopped dead in their tracks.
Appears to block microphone use by other apps, however it often makes the phone unusable and a reboot is required to get back phone functionality. This is a huge inconvenience. Last time it caused the system ui to crash. Time before that I set out on a reboot, and the phone was ringing, calling someone while the phone was mid-reboot. Samsung Note 8.
I've used the camera and microphone block Pro apps for a few years... all good. Now I'm using Android 12 the Mic app doesn't function correctly. Shall look for alternatives for camera and mic security... as these folks aren't keeping their product up to date. Shame.
